Saying Grace – October
God of all seasons, we thank you for Autumn. We thank you for the fall harvest and the bounty of our land. Amen

Eat the colors of the season. Winter squash with their bright orange flesh provide a power boost with vitamins and minerals that every body needs.
Bless the children in this new school year. Give them the gift of joy and wonder in all things, healthy bodies and safe and supportive homes and classrooms.
Eat breakfast! Something as simple as a peanut butter sandwich and a glass of milk is a good start to the day.
Consume high-fiber foods, such as whole wheat or multi-grain breads, fruits and vegetables, with each meal and snack. This helps stabilize blood sugar and helps control hunger.
We give you thanks for the blessings of freedom. May we learn to use our freedoms to be servants to our neighbors. (from A Prayer for the Fourth of July)
We come to give you thanks for the beauty and wonder of Your Creation. . . . May our shared thanksgiving for all Your blessings remind us we are brothers and sisters. (From the Peace Ceremony in the Vatican Gardens, 2014)
Water is an important nutrient for our bodies. Drink water throughout the day. It contributes to better health!
Choose whole-grain breads and whole wheat tortillas over white breads and flour tortillas.
God bless this garden as you bless all creation with your love.
