FoodCorps North Carolina is accepting applications until April 4 for new FoodCorps service sites. For anyone interested in working with youth in the food, gardening and health realm, check out FoodCorps, which is a nationwide team of leaders that connects kids to real food and helps them grow up healthy.

FoodCorps service members provide public service to school communities, and represent a wide range of backgrounds and interests, from food systems to agriculture, public health, education and community organizing. They teach kids about what healthy food is and where it comes from; build and tend school gardens; and bring high-quality local food into public school cafeterias.

FoodCorps is a national program. To learn more about it and to connect with representatives in your state, visit www.foodcorps.org. For questions about the program in North Carolina contact [email protected].
